Privacy Policy

Last updated: 21 June 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what information Quotarium (“we”, “us”) collects when you use the Quotarium mobile app and Chrome extension (together, the “Service”), how we use it, and the choices you have.

By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Information we collect

Account information

When you create an account, we collect your email address and, depending on how you sign in, your name and profile photo. If you sign in with Google, we receive your basic Google profile (name, email, and avatar). If you sign up with an email and password, your password is handled by our authentication provider and is never visible to us.

Content you create

We store the content you save in the Service so we can sync it across your devices: your quotes, their sources (such as book, author, and year), categories, and tags. This content is associated with your account.

Subscription and usage data

We store your subscription tier (Free, Pro, or Lux) and related status, along with limited usage counters needed to enforce plan limits (for example, number of quotes, monthly exports, and daily syncs) and timestamps of your most recent sync. We also generate a device identifier for each device you sign in on, so sync and cross-device features work correctly.

Technical data

Like most online services, our infrastructure providers may process technical information such as IP address and request metadata to deliver and secure the Service.

2. Processing that stays on your device

Some of the most sensitive features run entirely on your device and are not sent to our servers:

Only the resulting text — once you choose to save it as a quote — is stored and synced to your account.

3. How we use your information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use the content of your quotes for advertising.

4. Service providers we rely on

We use a small number of trusted providers to operate the Service. They process data on our behalf:

5. Where your data is stored

Your account data and content are stored on servers located in the European Union. Depending on your location, your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own; where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers.

6. Keeping and deleting your data

We keep your information for as long as your account is active. You are in control of your data:

7. Security

Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS), and access to your content is restricted to your own account through row-level security rules. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information using reasonable technical and organizational measures.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can exercise most of these directly in the app (editing your profile, exporting, or deleting your account), or by contacting us using the details below.

9. Children

The Service is not directed to children under the age required by your local law to consent to data processing, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can remove it.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.

11. Contact

If you have questions about this policy or your data, contact us at support@quotarium.app.
