Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Quotarium mobile app and Chrome extension (together, the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
1. The Service
Quotarium helps you capture quotes from books, ebooks, and the web, organize them, and sync them across your devices. We may add, change, or remove features over time to improve the Service.
2. Your account
To sync your content you need an account, which you can create with Google Sign-In or an email and password. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for activity that happens under your account. You must be old enough under the laws of your country to enter into these Terms.
3. Subscriptions and billing
Quotarium offers a free plan and paid plans (Pro and Lux) with higher limits. Paid plans are sold as auto-renewing subscriptions through Google Play:
- Payment is charged to your Google account at confirmation of purchase.
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- You can manage or cancel your subscription anytime in your Google Play account settings.
- Refunds are handled by Google in accordance with Google Play’s policies.
Prices and plan limits are shown in the app and may change; we will give notice of material changes as required.
4. Your content
You own the content you create in Quotarium. You are responsible for what you save and for having the right to save it. Quotes you capture may be protected by the copyright of their original authors or publishers; you agree to use such material only as permitted by law (for example, personal study or fair use) and not to infringe others’ rights through the Service.
We do not claim ownership of your content. We process it only to provide the Service to you, as described in our Privacy Policy.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the Service, including by attempting to break or bypass security or plan limits, accessing other users’ data, reverse-engineering the Service except where permitted by law, or using it for unlawful purposes.
6. Intellectual property
The Quotarium app, brand, name, logo, and design are owned by us and protected by intellectual-property laws. These Terms do not grant you any right to use them except as needed to use the Service.
7. Availability and changes
We aim to keep the Service available and reliable, but we provide it on an “as is” and “as available” basis and may modify, suspend, or discontinue parts of it. We are not liable for occasional downtime, maintenance, or factors outside our control.
8. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided without warranties of any kind, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for loss of data beyond what is required by applicable law. Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot be limited under the law that applies to you.
9. Termination
You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from within the app. We may suspend or terminate access if you materially breach these Terms or use the Service in a way that could harm other users or us.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the Service operator is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where mandatory consumer-protection laws of your country of residence apply.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
